Nassaney, Richard G. 82 passed away on November 9, 2020 at home after a short illness. He was the son of the late Gabriel and Lily (Nahabit) Nassaney. He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Marie (DeYoung) Nassaney, his daughter Pamela Smith (& her husband Stephen), daughter Paula Hartmann and son Richard Nassaney (& his wife Melissa), his grandchildren Tabitha Mindlin (& her husband Corey), Alex Smith, William & Gabriel Hartmann and Ryan & Gracie Nassaney, as well as a great-grandson Jonah Wright. He is also survived by his sisters Rosemarie Ferri and Patricia Keefe.
Richard graduated from Central Falls High School before joining the Air Force. He served 4 years and then several years in the National Guard. He graduated from Roger Williams College with a Master Degree in Electrical Engineering. He was the founder of RGN Sales, before passing the company on to his son in 1998.
He was a long-time resident of Coventry, RI serving many years on the Zoning Board before becoming a 25-year resident of Florida. He was an avid golfer and bowler. He loved to travel the world, especially on cruises, with his wife, sisters and brothers-in-law.
A Memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 11th from 3pm until 5pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be private in RI Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made in his name to the Kidney Foundation www.kidney.org or to the Alzheimer’s Association www.alzfnd.org
